TADB is registered under the Companies Act of 2002 and licensed under the provisions of the Banking and Financial Institutions Act No. 5 of 2006 and the Banking and Financial Institutions (Development Finance) Regulations of 2012. The Bank operates as a Development Finance Institution under license number 002 issued by the Bank of Tanzania on 4th August 2015.

Business Development Officer II

  • Work Station: Dar es Salaam
  • Qualifications:
    • Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking and Finance, or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions.
  • Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Implement policies, procedures, decisions, and strategies for financing development projects and activities in respective zone.
    • Provide technical support to developmental activities and clients financed by the Bank.
    • Conduct monitoring and evaluation of ongoing and completed projects in respective zone.
    • Seek business opportunities in respective zone.
    • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
  • Technical Competencies:
    • Ability to identify business areas where the Bank can be more effective and propose plans to implement these changes.
    • Analytical Skills: Experience in interpreting financial information/statements.
    • Ability to evaluate credit application proposals.
    • Industry knowledge: Candid knowledge of products in the industry and the business opportunities that underlie these areas.

Senior Business Development Officer II

  • Qualifications:
    • Holder of Master Degree in one of the following fields: Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking and Finance, or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions with working experience of at least thirteen (13) years in related field.
  • Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Oversee the implementation of policies, procedures, decisions, and strategies for financing development projects and activities in respective zone.
    • Provide technical support to developmental activities and clients financed by the Bank.
    • Participate in monitoring and evaluating ongoing and completed projects in respective zone.
    • Seek and evaluate business opportunities in respective zone.
    • Oversee the implementation of credit and related policies, processes, and procedures.
    • Ensure applications for loan/credit are reviewed and approved accordingly.
    • Control overdrafts relating to projects and development activities in respective zone.
    • Ensure that information on development financing is adequately made available in respective zone.
    • Develop and implement work plans for the zone.
    • Develop and maintain beneficial business relationships with corporate and clients.
    • Maintain good working relationships with other divisions, departments, and units as well as external stakeholders.
    • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
