Introduction

TRA United Sports Club is registered in accordance with the National Sports Council Act (Cap 49) and is owned by the Tanzania Revenue Authority. The club currently participates in the Premier League of Tanzania.

The club’s objectives include: Motivate Voluntary Tax Compliance, Provide Tax Education, Enhance Sports Talents, and Enhance Cooperate Social Responsibilities.


POSITION: HEAD COACH 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct regular training sessions for players.
  • Select squads, set starting line-ups, and make tactical decisions during matches.
  • Mentor and guide assistant coaches and other technical staff.
  • Design strategies and formations suited to players’ strengths.
  • Analyze opponents and adapt tactics accordingly.
  • Identify, recruit, and nurture young talent through the academy system.
  • Develop individual player skills, fitness, and mental toughness.
  • Develop team cohesion, motivation, and discipline.
  • Use video analysis and data to improve team performance.
  • Monitor players’ progress and provide feedback.
  • Monitor and track team and individual statistics for performance improvement.
  • Advise the CEO or Technical Director in recruitment and contract decisions.
  • Prepare pre-match plans and review post-match performance.
  • Coordinate with medical, fitness, and nutrition staff for optimal players’ condition.
  • Maintain compliance with club policies and football association regulations.
  • Attend meetings, media engagements, and official club events.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by relevant Authority

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holder of a CAF A License or any equivalent License recognised by the relevant Sports Authorities of Tanzania.
  • Must have coaching experience of not less than Five (5) years with a club participating in a premier league or a National Team.
  • A track record of winning a premier league or recognized international tournament will be an added advantage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise daily activities of the Club.
  • Define and implement the club’s long-term vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with football regulations (FIFA, CAF, TFF, league rules), good governance practices, and government regulations.
  • Supervise sporting matters, including player recruitment, transfers, contracts, and development of youth academies.
  • Drive brand growth, marketing, and expand fan base through engagement initiatives including community programs and digital platforms.
  • Secure and manage strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and community relations.
  • Ensure alignment between sporting goals and commercial objectives.
  • Represent the club in national and international football governing bodies.
  • Support coaching staff in creating a competitive team.
  • Manage the club’s budget, ensuring financial accountability and stability.
  • Drive revenue through sponsorships, partnerships, broadcasting rights, and merchandising.
  • Build the club’s brand locally and internationally.
  • Secure and maintain corporate sponsorships.
  • Report regularly to the Board of the club on performance and challenges in consultation with the chairperson.
  • Uphold transparency, accountability, and ethical standards.
  • Act as the club’s official representative to the media, sponsors, and football authorities.
  • Build strong relationships with fans, community leaders, and government institutions.
  • Promote the club’s image and manage its reputation.
  • To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by relevant Authority.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holder of a Master’s Degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Law, Sports Management, Finance, or any equivalent qualification from a recognised Institution.
  • Must have proven Senior Leadership experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, or the corporate sector.
  • Must have at least Eight (8) years of working experience in the related field, of which Five (5) years must be at the Managerial level.
