4.(c) (i) Through knowledge of biology production of crops and livestock can be improved. For example through genetic engineering, scientists have developed breads of crops and animals that produce high yield and mature quickly (01½ marks)

(ii) The study of anatomy helps doctors to learn the structure of the body and how it functions which makes it possible for doctors to know when something is wrong in the body and how it can be treated (01½ marks)

 5.(a)(i) Ferns have leaves called fronds which are coiled in bud such leaves bear spore producing structure

         (ii) Alteration of generation is shown with sporophyte being the dominant generation

         (iii).The gametophyte is a small, simple prothalus( flattened leaf like structure)

        (iv) The sporophyte has true roots, stem and leaves

  (v) The sporophytes has vascular tissue ( xylem and phloem)

(v)  The leave bear spore producing structure called sori.

         (i) Take bath at least twice a day

        (ii) Girls should wear sanitary towels during menstruation and change them after . Wash your hand with soap and water after handling soil sanitary towel

       (iii) Wear clean clothes and wash undergarment with clean water and soap every time you take shower

       (iv) Boys should keep their beard well-trimmed or shaved

      (v) use good quality soap and deodorant if possible as  the  body produce more sweat (2 marks )

                            - Symptoms of cholera are; diarrhea, vomiting, weight loss, wrinkled skin, muscle cramp  ( 10 marks)
